Thank you for visiting Spot.Love, owned and operated by Spot.Love, LLC (referred to as “Spot.Love,” “us,” “our,” “we”). We are committed to respecting privacy rights and concerns and have established and implemented this Privacy Policy to inform users of our website and mobile application and our customers, of what personal information we collect, and how we use, share, and protect such information.   • Agreement to Terms

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use, then you should immediately discontinue use of the Spot.Love website and mobile application (the “App” and collectively with the website, the “Services”) and/or our services without providing us any personally identifiable information.

  • Effective Date and Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date above and will remain in effect until a new policy supersedes it. We may choose to update this Privacy Policy at our discretion, so you should check this page periodically as the terms may change from time-to-time. The most recent version of the Policy will be reflected by the “Effective” date noted at the top of the page. In the event of a material change to this Privacy Policy, we will provide a conspicuous message either through the Services or via an email address associated with your account informing you of the change. Your affirmative consent or continued use of the Services and/or our services will constitute your acknowledgment of this Policy in its current version and your understanding of the terms of this Policy.

  • The Information We Collect

  • Personal identifiers, such as your first and last name, alias/screen name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, unique device identifiers, date of birth, account name and password, children, education, physical characteristics or description, relationship status, interests for a partner, political affiliation, income level, marketing preferences, correspondence, and payment card or other bank account information;
  • Professional or employment-related information, including salary or income;
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information, including browsing history and search history, and information regarding your interaction with a website application;
  • Commercial information, such as your subscription history;
  • Geolocation information;
  • Characteristics of protected classifications, such as age, race/ethnicity, religion or philosophical beliefs, gender identity or gender expression, and marital status;
  • Contacts information, if you chose to sync such contacts with your account in order to connect with your contacts via the Services;
  • Audio recordings, visual, electronic, or other similar information, including videos you create or profile pictures;
  • Survey information, when you complete any forms, respond to a survey or questionnaire, or participate in a contest, we collect the personal information you provide; 
  • Habits, hobbies, and interests, and

We collect such personal information directly from you when you visit or otherwise use the Services; submit registration forms, feedback forms, or subscription forms; participate in a survey or contest; or when you otherwise contact us.

For example, if you do not provide certain personal information, we may not be able to respond to your requests, perform a transaction with you or create your account, locate nearby matches, or provide you with marketing that we believe you would find valuable.

  • Cookies 

A cookie is a small string of information that a website that you visit transfers to your browser for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to follow your activity while using a website or across websites, and that information helps companies understand your preferences and tendencies, as well as improve and personalize your website experience. Some cookies are necessary to operate a website, while others can be functional, analytical, or used for targeted advertising (as discussed in more detail below).   • Functional Cookies: These improve the functional performance of the Services and make it easier for you to use.  For example, cookies are used to remember that you have previously visited the Services and asked to remain logged into it (e.g., saves your username, and password).  These cookies qualify as persistent cookies, because they remain on your device for us to use during your next visit to the Services.  You can delete these cookies as detailed below.

You can prevent the use of certain cookies by modifying your Internet browser settings, typically under the sections “Help” or “Internet Options.”  If you disable or delete certain cookies in your Internet browser settings, you may still access the Services, however, you might not be able to access or use important functions or features of the Services, and you may, for example, be required to re-enter your log-in details.  

 

Our App will use Google Firebase Analytics which uses SDK (Software Development Kit) features to log certain activities while using the App for analytical purposes. This information helps us understand your preferences and tendencies, as well as improve and personalize your app experience. You can prevent the logging of certain events by such SDK features by limiting the permissions you provide to the App, (e.g., GPS, camera).

 

Device Information

 

Similar to cookies, we may automatically collect certain information about the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may collect and analyze information such as IP addresses, geolocation information, unique device identifiers, browser types, browser language, operating system, the state or country from which you accessed the Services, and other information about your mobile phone or other device(s). In addition to analytical purposes, this information helps us diagnose problems with our server, administer the Services, and display the content according to your preferences.

 

Do Not Track

The Services is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly or intentionally gather personal information about visitors who are under the age of 18. We share your personal information with the following categories of third-parties, where applicable:

 

  • Advisers and financial institutions, including, legal, tax, auditors, risk and compliance, notaries, and business continuity support services;
  • Service providers and suppliers, including, IT outsourcing, marketing, customer management, and payment processors. In some instances, service providers will be directly responsible to you for their use of your personal information. They may be obliged by law to provide you with additional information regarding the personal information that they hold about you and how and why they process that information. Further information may be provided to you in a separate notice or may be obtained from such service providers directly, for example, via their websites;
  • App visitors, such as when your profile is displayed on the App for other members to view;
  • Where permitted by applicable laws, with third-parties in connection with a corporate restructuring, sale, transfer or assignment of assets or business, merger, divestiture, or other changes to the company’s control or financial status (or any of our affiliates); and
  • Government bodies and dispute resolution and law enforcement organizations, as applicable.

  • Your Privacy Choices

If you no longer want to receive our newsletter, emails or other marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our emails, by responding with “STOP” to any text message you receive from us, by accessing the marketing preferences in your account settings page, or by writing to us as detailed below. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain correspondence from us, including messages relating directly to your account or subscription orders placed through the Services.

 

With exceptions, you may be able to view, amend, or delete your information through your account by logging in with your username and password, or to cancel your account, you can click this link. Please note that unless specified otherwise, cancelling your account alone, will not delete your information, and you can re-activate your account at any time.

Your personal information is only accessible, on a need to know basis, by a limited number of employees who have special permissions. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information as it is transmitted to us. To the extent permitted under applicable law, we assume no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized access by third-parties, or other causes beyond our control. 

 

You play an important role in keeping your information secure. You should not share your username or password for your Spot.Love account with anyone. If you have reason to believe that your account is no longer secure, please contact us immediately as detailed below.

In an attempt to provide increased value to our visitors, we may choose various third-party websites (e.g., social media networks, e-commerce platforms) to link to within our Services. We have no control over these linked sites, each of which has separate privacy and data collection practices independent from us.
